{Studio Spotlight} Blue Nectar Yoga

I was recently invited to the {fabulous} new yoga studio Blue Nectar in Falls Church, VA to take a class and share my thoughts with you all. First, let me say that I wish my entire job was reviewing yoga studios because it is awesome and so much fun! One day I will be a lady of yoga and leisure! :)

Let’s get right to it. Blue Nectar is an amazing studio. If you live in the Northern VA {or DC!} area you should def head over there and take a class. It opened up earlier this year and has some great offerings. Their classes are “warm” vinyasa flow so the studios are heated to around 80 degrees but it doesn’t feel hot – just enough to get you flowin’ and sweatin’. There are two lovely blue {of course!} studios so multiple classes can be going on at once which is really nice.

When you arrive there is ample parking in the back of shopping center – a rarity in the DC area! Once inside there is a lovely little “blue-tique” {cute!} where you can buy some mats and other yoga essentials. I like that it is simple and has basic products that any yogi would need. The check-in process is super easy {sign-up online first} and the front desk staff are really sweet.

I’ve taken a few classes at Blue Nectar over the past few weeks and they all were fab but I’ll focus on the Tuesday night “flow seven five” {6:00-7:15pm} with Andre that I took last week because it is FREE the whole month of July since the studio is the Lululemon Clarendon Studio of the Quarter.

Andre is an amazing instructor and gives a really creative and challenging flow. He recently moved to the area from California so it is nice to have a new and different coastal perspective on yoga around here. He offers lots of options in all of his sequences so the classes are accessible to everyone, his assists are really wonderful and he has a great sense of humor. He also has an amazing handlebar mustache! If you take his class you are guaranteed to leave feeling good!

I have also taken classes with Jane {one of the owners!}, Ursula and Beth who are fabulous teachers and will give you a great flow. Blue Nectar also offers many workshops and a teacher training starting this fall which will include one of my favs, Jennifer Triassi!

So I think I’ve made it pretty clear that Blue Nectar is a great spot for yoga. You should def check them out – you won’t be disappointed! If you live in the area and want to take a class, shoot me an email and I can send you a free first class pass! :)

The studio is located at:

513 W. Broad Street, Suite 110C
Falls Church, VA 22046

You can connect with them and find out more about class schedules here:

Don’t forget that the Tues 6:00-7:15pm class is FREE all July!

And now here are some photos I snapped while at the studio last week. It is a lovely little spot!

Happy Monday! :)
